A loose concept album comprised of older and newer songs, many of which written on a 1912 Gibson L-4 archtop guitar named "Bowlby". The songs are mostly in Open G tuning and the themes range from growing up vs. never growing up, to musical heroes, to corporate greed and environmentalism. The title itself is a juxtaposition of the terms "patina" and "teenager".
